Jeannine Marie Pitas

Jeannine M. Pitas is the Spanish-English translator or co-translator of nine books of poetry and prose, most recently Uruguayan poet Mariella’s Memory Rewritten (co-translated with Jesse Lee Kercheval). Her main area of focus is Southern Cone women poets, and her 2017 translation of I Remember Nightfall was shortlisted for the National Translation Award. She serves as an editor for Eulalia Books and Presence: A Journal of Catholic Poetry. She lives in Pittsburgh and teaches at Saint Vincent College. www.jeanninemariepitas.com
